I am new to the forums and basically to truck modifying. I have recently purchased a 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500 and am wondering if an aftermarket ignition system such as MSD's Ignition Control Unit would be benenficial to today's vehicles. A few years ago (maybe more like7)I put a MSD in a '63 Chevy truck and noticed great improvement. Would the newer truck benefit from this addition? Any advice you could give would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

If there wasn't a benefit to it they probably wouldn't be selling them. IDK if it is worth $600+ in improvement though.
