I have a 97 chevy and my problem is when I try and pull on someone (stuck in the mud my tires on bare dirt) my truck will hit the stall speed on the torque converter (1600rpm approximately) but wont break the tires loose. It will hit this stall speed at about half throttle but as I continue to gas it nothing happens. Any input would be greatly appreciated

 

actually make that stall speed for the converter about 1500 rpms
