Ok guys looked on here did not see any thing on this , the truck is half ton auto trans z71 .70 k. the speedo and tach and shift indcator will quit working , then from a stop it takes off in a higher gear , if you shift it manually it works . might do this for a week then not do it again for a couple of weeks . Starting to do it more and more . thanks in advance ..

 

Taking a wag at it here, hopefully someone else can confirm it but maybe a TCC solenoid ?

Not too much 20-30 bucks. You might consider a fluid and filter change too. A little bit of dirt can cause headaches.
