Default '99 Silverado LS - power seat issue

Hello. New to the board - luv it. I am having an issue with my power driver's seat. I have the stated truck. The driver's side, bucket seat, powers back and forth, but not up and down (vertically). Does this mean that the seat motor needs replacing? If so, is it a difficult job to replace and where can I get the part? Thanks.

Use a test light and see if the switch to the adjustment is giving power to that motor, unless it is only one motor, then may need a new motor.

Thanks. It looks like there is only one motor. The seat moves back and forth, but when I try to move the seat "up" (vertically), I can hear the motor but it acts like it doesn't have enough power to move the seat.

Yeah sounds like its bad. Do some junkyard hopping and see if you can find a seat and yank the motor out before you go to the stealership!

Will do. Thanks. I looked at it again last night. It does look like it has two motors. The "vertical" motor is in the back. I may try and pull the seat and see if anything is blocking the tracks. Like I said I can hear the motor, when I push on the switch, but the seat doesn't move. Thanks again.
