Default another clunk thread...

Hi I have a 06 GMC Sierra z71 4x4. When I release the brake to start to move there is a soft higher pitch clunk clunk clunk. Usually two or three until i press the gas. This also happens when i almost come to a complete stop but right before i do it does it again... clunk clunk. It's hard to explain the noise. Its not a real loud pop or anything like that but definitely noticeable. It only happens from a complete stop or coming to a complete stop. Any ideas?

Drive shaft slip yoke on the trans, unbolt from the rear diff and pull the drive shaft and yoke from the transmission. Clean the internal splines on the yoke and smear some good marine grade grease on the splines. Re-assemble and clunk should be gone.
