does anyone know anything about the STS turbo kit fo an 05 5.3 l silverado? can my engine take the almost 200 extra hp? i want more hp for off roading. just curious. http://www.ststurbo.com/gm_trucks

 

Well, your engine could take the STS turbo kit for maybe....oh, the first 100 miles. The first time you gave it full throttle you would blow some gaskets most likely. You should definately replace the heads, cam, lifters, valves, replace all your gaskets with GOOD felpro gaskets....that much of a gain wouldn't work too well on a STOCK motor. So be carefull what you do if you do install the turbo. There are much many things you can do with that money you would spend on a turbo. But a turbo would be absolutely BADASS on a 5.3 .....
