Anyone tried an electric supercharger?
Anyone tried an electric supercharger, turbocharger? I know it's sketchy but even if itdelivers a fraction of their claim it'd be worth it. I saw this www.superwhirl.comwww.electricchargers.com I think there's a few others. Any info?

I have looked into this as well, but the gains are minimal and the parts wear out fast. Also at high speeds it is hard to get an electric motor than can flow enough volume. I think that the power required to run the electric motors washes out the gain. One possible thing I have thought about is if you can get a box with 4 or so high volume fans to try to increase the volume. It may work, but I havn't had time to test it.
I watched a show where they did the same thing with a leaf blower in the intake and the sprayed NOS into the leaf blower. i think they gained about 50 hp on a honda. After reading the reviews It is a good concept but not really practical unless u can rig a leaf blower into the mix!
Most likely it was the NOS giving the additional horsepower. There is a very cool video on streetfire.com where they hook up NOS to a Briggs & Straton lawn mower engine. It is funny to here the rpm's increase when they supply the shot. That damn engine held up well too!! Check it out, it is a great video!
