I'm about to begin the search for a new truck. In my mind, what I need is a 4-door. 4 wheel drive truck with less thanor equal to 45.000 miles.


My question is, is the 45,000 miles parameter unreasonable? Could I bump up the mileage and still be satisfied? I realize you can't tell me what it takes to satisfy me, but I'm sincerely seeking opinions.

i just bought a diesel with 53000 miles, and it feels new. it really depends on the truck.

 

What are you going to be using the truck for? I am of course partial to Chevrolet, so am I going to tell you to buy a Chevy? Hell yeah I am!! As far as longevity is concerned, your not going to find another dependable truck like Chevrolet. If your just looking for daily driving and minimum towing, the 1500 crew cab is an excellent choice. However, if you're going to be utilizing on the farm, or for heavy towing, the 2500HD is a beast! Good luck and happy truck shopping. Remember, have fun with it bro!
