Default Aux. lights - question about connecting???

Ok I ordered a bull bar for the front of my 2007 Silverado Classic Z71 Extended cab... At first, I didn't plan to add any extra aux. lights to it, but now I think I am going to. Ithink I canjust connect them through the OEM fog lights, by splicing the wires. Any ideas? Or should the lights I buy come with a full harness to connect it somewhere so they have their own on/off switch?

Technically ou can do either one. 99% of aux light will come with a wire harness, fuse, switch and instructions. I wouldn't splice them into your driving light unless you plan on eliminating them. You'll put too much load on the circut. I would buy a good set and follow the directions. Good lights will come with a relay that makes it easy to install. One wire to ground, one wire to battery, one to the switch, one to the headlights, and two to the aux. lights and thats about it. (The relay makes it so they will turn on with the high beams). Fog lights turn off with the highbeams so now you'll have extra lighting for lows and highs.

I agree, but you can hook the relay toswitch onfrom the fog light switch if you want, just run the power to the battery or the fuse block.
