best mod for the $
I have a 2001 HD and was wondering what the best mod to improve mileage (not looking for miracles!) for the money would be. Exhaust, tune, tbs, air intake, thermostat, switching lubricants to synthetic. Give me your favorite brands too. Was looking at getting a S&B air intake. any input? thanks. fairly new to this forum and think its awesome!!
Royal Purple synthetic oil, Superchips makes a tuner that can tune for saving gas, Street style tires with low tread and higher PSI but not too high, cold air intake(I have a K&N FIPK). As for exhaust, I have heard several dissapointed people talk about losing MPG.
Yeah, exhaust is not an economical mod. Is something you do to put a grin on your face. The best bang for your buck is gonna be a custom tune for sure. But if you think you'll wanna do some of the other mods later on down the road you should go ahead and do them first cause it'll have to be retuned every time you modify it with say an intake or aftermarket MAF.
