Default BF Goodrich/Michelin Tire Rebate

I needed some tires to replace the crappy General Ameritrac )only 25K miles) on my 06 Crew Cab. Wanted to tell everyone that www.discounttire.com has a $70.00 rebate if you buy a set of 4 Michelin or BFG's plus they have free shipping in US. I bought Long Trial Tour T/A's in the 245-70R17 size at $135 ea. Thought that was a pretty good price as I didn't want to spring for the cost of Michelin LTX. The rebate is only good through this Friday I think.

You could have done better going to Discount tire store. I bought The BFG Radial T/A that started out at $103 and ended up getting them for $79.

Default BFG tires

Well the Long Trail Tour T/A were recommended but we don't have a Discount Tire store nearby so I ordered mine online. I hope they are a good tire but they can't help but be better than the Generals.

Anything is better than the General Ameritrac! My dad bought a set of the General Ameritrac 1 time and barely got 25K out of them. He went back and Discount Tire and the store manager gave him full credit back and then got 4 Michelin LTXs at the discounted price and ended up paying $88 for each of them.
