Just had to provide an update!
Yes, I went to the dealership. No, the 2000 does not have the appropriate recall. "OK;" I say, "how much for the resistor and pigtail?" "$58.00 and $136.00", he's says sheepishly! Incidentally, these are the identical parts which are covered under the recall for 2003-2007 models.

Please, don't anyone ever ask me why I don't buy parts at the stealership!

You should get Shamrock to order it for you ship it to you then pay him. Might come out better... "OUCH!"
