RE: blown tranny!
A replacment Tranny from GM, not a ReMan will cost you $2700 installed. They put an 04 in mine just 7 mths ago. The tranny went because of the SUN Gear. It is aknown weak point in all the Silverado Trannys. I can say this with certainity. If you have an AAMCO around you, give them a call and they will tell you all bout it. If your an owner who hasn't had the tranny go, it costs about $800 to get it fixed outside of a GM dlrship.

I would get a higher performance one if you were gana spend that much. Then you could put it in yourself for way cheap. Not that big of a deal if you have somewhere to do it. http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...10559_-1_10557Try that one.
