I've always wondered if there was a moderator or admin actually running this place. They offered me a job as a mod like last summer but I said nay and haven't seen them since, LOL.

Onto the subject. I'm just going out ona limb here but I know on a lot of engines when the timing gets outta wack it does that popping crap and also will backfire sometimes. Highly unlikely your timing is off since it's gotta timing chain vs. a belt and it only has 45,000 miles. So I wonder if something else could be influencing the timing such as a bad camshaft positioning sensor. This is distributorless so I'd rule out vacuum unless it's idleing higher than usual. My 4.8 idles at 500rpm when it's warm and about 700rpm when it's cold.

Doubt any of that will help but just thought I'd try.

They offered it to me as well a year ago, and I declined. Ithink they just how up when a complaint it filed. But we seem to do okay policing ourselves, and taking care of issues that come up (can I say blowtie).

Smoke
Not sure what knock sensor is or located and I have not changed any O2 as of yet I was told not to
until I find what is causing the lean fuel codes
I keep getting these reading when I have the engine running and scanner is in IM mode everything looks normal except for these to banks they appeared to be stuck at 24.9 volts and do not move up or down I check my wifes Blazer and hers more up and down on all 4 fuel trims were my 2 banks are stuck and 2 are working but I can not find out where to look at this point Kinda stuck here Fuel pump still needs to be tested I have pressure tester coming hopefully today.
Anymore ideas
Thanks[/align]
