im looking at gettin a computer hook up for my 2002 silverado 4.3l v8 z71 and i was getting talked in to bully dogs bully dog power pup computer.. just wondering if anyone has any input to that computer or any recommendations i just dont know to much about the computers like that and just need any info anyone has to offer thanks

Check into getting a custom tune. There are many people out there offering better performance for the same or less $$ as a hand held programmer.

 

I agree! If I had to do it all over again I would just go get a custom tune. I am saving for a tune now.

 

I have a bully dog for my 5.3 iron block o7 Silverado classic LT3 I also have corsca cat back with quad 3.5 tips,volant cai with the power ram air scoop,Jet maf sensor,poweraid throttle body spacer, ihave on the premium setting for the motor which is the highest setting! The towing setting for the tranny which is one down from highest setting. I didn't get the programmer until i had all the other mods installed but it seem to make quite a differnce. Pulling the fuses were the hardest thing out of the install. I marked the ends of mine so it's a breeze the next time.For a chevy you have to pull 5 from inside the cab and 5 or 6 from the fuse box in the motor area.
