Buying Chevy with 100,000 miles?
Hey everyone, I am looking to buy a used truck but only have about 12,500 to spend. The only 4x4's i've been able to find in my price range have around 100,000 miles on them, and was wondering if this would be a bad decision? I would only have the truck a couple more years till I get out of college.
Is it bad to buy used with that many miles on them, regardless of condition? I know these trucks can last a loooong time, so what are your opinons?
Thanks!

RE: Buying Chevy with 100,000 miles?
I don't know what the details are, but I just traded my 1999 Chevy Z71 in for my 1500HD. It had 163,000 miles on. Up until it was hit by lightning in April 2006, I had only put in a new a/c compressor at 93,000 miles and brakes at 140,000. If it's in good condition with solid records, I would do it.

Go buy a mid 90's dodge with a cummins, they will be about 12000 and you can easily get 500,000 out of them. 100,000 is nothing for these motors. they will also have more power than you will ever need. if you want to stick with chevy, get a chevy with a 6.5L Diesel or a 6.2
