Default CAI vs warranty

I've been told that GM will only accept a CAI that does not use oil. AN oiled filter like K&N may void the warranty if a motor issue arises. Has anyone heard this?

they can.but i believe they have to prove the filter caused the problem, plus k&n stands behind their product so if the dealer tries to void it, give K&N a call.but there is nothing wrong with a k&n filter unless you severely over oil it. a guy here at work has 190K trouble free miles on his s10 with a 77 series on it. i have themon every vehicle that ive owned. just clean the MAF sensor when you clean your air filter.
