Default cap and rotor

i have a 1998 gmc sierra 1500 4.3 vortec and i keep on going through cap and rotors every 10,000 miles or so if you take it out of overdrive and hold it steady in a lower gear it chugs. But when you give it the gas it goes just fine. put a new cap and rotor on it and it will run great. any suggestions

Every 10K huh. Well, the only thing that comes to mind is to get a better set. I don't know what/where you get them but I'd try the name brand stuff first. Maybe NAPA or some of the big names like Accell will have what you want. The dealer MIGHT have something better but I wouldn't count on it.

Hope that helps,

Brad

are you getting any corrosion on the cap or rotor? if so youre getting moisture up through the crankcase.
