Default carb spacers

Hey everyone,

I was on the diablosport website getting info for my tuner and came across a thread about TBS. They were saying that they are worthless on the newer model chevy/gm. I have an 05 sierra and they said a carb spacer is much better. Can anyone speak to the TBS and has anyone tried a carb spacer?

I haven't seen any posts regarding them and wanted to know more info. I emailed a guy from wilson manifolds to get more info. Here is a link to their website, they say it gives you good gains and the spacer is less than $150. The guy from preditor "mike" said they are legit.

I think TBS is for fuel injected throttle bodies and the carb spacer is for, well carbs. There is definately a bigger gain on putting a spacer on a carbed motor versus a fuel injected motor. But either way there is a difference. For $30-$50 its not a bad modification. The aftermarket MAF sensors are the one that are iffy on power gains.

$30-$50 for which modification?

TBS or Carb Spacer? TBS is $65 and Carb Spacer is $150.

I beleive I have a carb engine because my engine is an 05. I am pretty sure but not positive.

If you have an 05 there is no way that you have a carb engine. They dont even put carberated engines in cars anymore. TBS does make a differance, its not huge but you can tell that you did something.

Look for the trans dapt on summit racing, they run $50. And yes your engine is throttle body not carb.
