How come nobody has mentiones a body lift?
a 3" body lift with tightened t-bars, and some 3" blocks in the rear, along with longer shocks should get your truck 5" of lift, able to tuck some 35's.
But if you plan on running 33's, Id suggest to not go over 3" of lift.

tylerz71, i'd go with two inch blocks on that setup or it will nose dive a good bit, but that is a cheap way to get almost a six inch lift... definitely gets 35s on the older (97ish) trucks, might rub a little on the newer ones

Tylerz71, this thread has only been talking about getting the truck level, not how big for how cheap. Other wise there is so many things you can do just to lift the truck up a few inches with out paying an arm and two legs to do it.

You can get a cheap body lift on line or you can do it your self. One way is the hockey puck trick, you drill a hole in the center of the pucks and bolt them inbetween the frame and the body. Another way is to buld the spacers your self with pipe and flat plate. Basically you are just building the spacers that would come in the body lift kit. Either way you can get some lift really cheap witha body lift, if you do it your self make sure that you count on getting new brake lines and possibly a longer steering shaft, depending on how high you plan on going with it. Also if you do it with a home made kit you will need to buy longer body bolts. Take all of these things into consideration.

I have an 04 chevy 1500 and i put a 2 1/2 leveling kit from www.roughcountry.com. its only $189 and took about 2 1/2 hours to put in. Its two 2" blocks for the back, new torsion keys, and four new nitro 9000 shocks all the way around. im pretty sure they make it for your truck too so check it out.
