Well, I think I've fixed the orginal problem, but now have another

I took of the fan shroud where I could hear a little better and determined that the noise seemed to be coming from either the water pump or fan. I turned the water pump pulley by hand ..it didn't chirp, but did sound rough. So, off I go...I replaced the water pump, thermostat, and all hoses while I was in there. Put everything back together, filled her up with antifreeze and started her up...no CHIRP!.......BUT...did notice coolant leaking from radiator...apparently I poked a hole in it while trying to get the fan off!!! just my luck!

My girlfriend seems to have the same problem. (High pitched squeal that just won't go away)

I've found that if you throw money at it, the squeal eventually dies down to a more tolerable register.

I had a squeel coming from one of my pulley's and I sprayed about a half of a can of Tri-lube while it was running and not running. (I didn't careto replace it!) It has seemed to get rid of the squeek and I went back to check all of the pulleys and idelers to see if one has failed or is failing. Not one of them was bad, must have been the mouse wheel squeeling!

Yep. Thanks much to everyone's suggestions. Installed the new radiator last night and see's purring like a kitten again. I can't believe the difference in engine noise. That water pump was making some hell-asious racket!!

...everyone ignored my comment.

I don't seem to be as entertaining as I have been in the past.

I have one fan. Great...

Steve used to enjoy my stupid/useless posts. Now even he's too busy touching himself, or whatever he does. (A number of unsavory things, I'm sure)
