What is the best performing Cold Air Intake? AEM Brute Force or the True Flow intake system? pro's and con's to both?

I put the K&N system on my 2003 Chevy Silverado and it did make a noticable difference in power. I chose it because it was slighty less in cost and I can buy the cleaning kits at most local auto parts stores.

I couldn't tell you what would be better between the AEM Brute Force or True Flow. Most after market cold air intake systems will improve performance.

i went with the k&n 77 series. The air tube chrome. It looks awesome under the hood. i think the k&n flows more air than the true flow. When you get into the gas with the k&n, you get an awesome tone from the motor. The power received from it is good too. If i were you i would get the k&n system. Order it from truckperformance.com. Type in your make and model and find the k&n 77 series air intake system. They have good deals on everything. So far i have not found any sites that can beat their prices on anything.

I am contemplating installing the Volant Cold Air Intake System in my 1997 2500 Silverado.
I wonder however, whether the installation procedure would be very difficult. I do some work on my Chev myselv, yet, I am not a mechanic.
Any advice? Please looking forward to your responses.

Thank you.

I have the volant as well and love it. very easy to install (literally 15 min or less). great sound, but makes you run it in the sound range (1500-2500 rpm) to impress vehicles around you. Doesn't really make you do it, but I love the sound. milage is better as well. I like the completely inclosed system and no chrome as chrome transfers heat. As far as the other sytems you talked about I have no info. From what I hear there is no big performance difference but I love my volant.

I've been looking at the CAI's and their pictures and I really don't see what the difference is between the current intake and the CAI other than the hole in the side of the box is bigger. Your still pulling the same temp air into themotor through the CAI as youare the stock intakeunless it has the scoop that goes down to the fender. What is it that makes the performance different?
