Death Noise!
I have a serious problem ( i think) I just swapped the clutch and flywheel on my truck and now when I start it up it makes a noise like its running w/out oil, I changed the oil during the swap and it has pressure so I dont think thats the problem, its been sitting for two days before I started it so I didnt know if that had something to do with it. I know I installed the throwout bearing right so thats not whats making the noise, just wondering if anybody else has had thisproblem or knows what going on.
Not having ever replaced the clutch in a Chevy truck, I'm not sure it this is possible so I ask forgiveness if it sounds stupid. Are you confident that you did not install the clutch plate backwards?
I ask because I know that in some vehicles it is possible to place the plate upon the spline in either direction. If the plate is on backwards, it will squeal like a banshee.
