I have no fire and debating on rebuilt distributer or just buying the IM and pickup.Any pitfalls in buyingthe parts andreplacing? In searches I sawmention ofworn bushings and something about the shaft inold distributers. It's an 89 1500 with 305.

One other question,will the truck run without the ECM plugged into the distributer?I saw documetantionthat suggestedthis. I may find this inthe forums.
