Default Driving Hard

I was standing outside tonight smoking and I looked at my truck and thought about how mean I am to it, and started to think about what all I do to it and if im "ruining" it maybe...or is it good for it.
I have a 2004 4.3L V6 2wd and I run it like no other, I dont race it or anything but im just heavy on the gas and quick around the turns. I dont really make an effort to dodge pot holes either...I was just wondering if running it hard like this all the time will lead to problems down the road.
Thanks for your time, This I guess is just a "thinking" post, dont really have any problems...just wondering.
I appreciate your replys as always...

Of course running it hard will tear it up. High rpms burn things out and put extra wear and tear on stuff, but its a fairly new truck and you shouldnt have problems until 100k rolls around, and then you will probably just be replacing things that would be wearing out soon anyway. I pretty much do the same thing you do and havnt had any problems at 66k yet. Driving fast and accelerating quick should be fine, as long as you dont wrap it around a pole or somthing... Have fun and drive crazy
