Default edelbrock headers

So I been thinkin about purchasing some edelbrock shorty headers but can't really decide between the ceramic and the ti-tech coating. The ti-tech is supposed 2 withstand higher tempatures.Ceramic costs more and has a polished finish.Has anybody ever tried or know someone who's tried the ti-tech coated?Any help would be appreciated.

I have not tried the ti-tech, but I was told by several sources that the ceramic will resist corrosion the best. And I live at the coast so that is important to me. The performance should be the same though.

I wrapped my headers with the thermo tec wraps and i noiticed a slight difference in power after they dried and really got a good seal. they shield the heat away from the engine and heat up the exhaust gas? anyway they are for creating better scavenging for the exhaust. they seemed to work really well and only cost about 40 bucks for my shorties. (on my mustang R.I.P.)

sorry i forgot the point of my response. I would go ceramic and then wrap em. it would be pointless to cover up the polished ones.

I advise agaist wrapping aftermarket headers without checking with the manufacturer. Headman will not honor the warranty if you wrap them. This may be true for other brands. My friend learned the hard way after blowing a hole in a set.

If they are "direct replacement", go bolt by bolt. Different wires should not be necessary. Just make sure none touch the headers after install.

If you look back at the post titled "christmas presant", you will see pics and notes from the install of mine. Easy to do, just take your time, and make sure to have a 45 degreee socket for getting the exhaustpipes loose as the top bolts are a tight fit.
