Electrical night mare
I have a 1989 c/k 1500. Me and my son put a c cab on a k frame with drive train. In this process of transfer i did not know how(then) to disconnect the wire harness so i cut them oops! Well i tried closely to match wires and well their are a few issues. Now im scared to touch them cause i was told that in hooking them up i could fry the ECM and or truck not start but it did start and run.Now i need to fix what doesnt work (no dash, dome, head lights or radio power.)I do have turn signals, flashers and brake lights but they are dim?Can anyone help or guide me in the right direction.Their are 2 ORG. 4 purp. wires maybe crossed, just not sure.

Maybe some help
Check this site for a wiring schematics. It may be just what you need. It has helped me several times. Even if the manual you need is not listed, the wire colors in one thats available, may be all you need to correct your wiring.

Good luck on your wiring.

sunshine,
I just checked the site and it appeared to be working. I only clicked on the 2011 manual. Then I clicked on the electricial manual. it was downloading and I clicked off. The manual is 16 MB's so will take a while to fill out. If you are using dial up, you might want to visit one of your friends that has hi-speed. You could then put it on a flash drive and then your computer. Put it on a disk if you don't have a flash drive large enough.
Just some thoughts, I hope you get your truck straighten out.
Again, good luck.
