ok my 94 z has an electrical prob. the dash lights dont come on and when i turn on the lights it takes away the display for the ac. it also brings on the windshield wipers when i hit the brakes after the alternator gets to spinnin. wtf? i have replaced alternator and bat. i think its a wire harness. can anybody help?

 

wait..when you hit the brade pedal, the wipers come on?? it sounds to me like you have a serious wire-crossing somewhere...

 

wow, dude, this sounds like serious short or x-wire issue. Did you do any wiring? Like alarm, remote entry, trailer lights, trailer brakes, camper lights or something like this? Is it the Silverado that has the junction box/harness plug right under the brake fluid reservoir/master and when the unit leaks it soaks the junction box little by little and the more it gets wet the more issues surface. Does your new battery go dead for no apparent reason? That all I have to offer. Good luck Chrisselfz71.
