Hi forum members.
I recently posted a thread asking about puttering noises coming from the engine area/exhaust. I just bought an Actron Scanner and got codes P0410 and P1416 and was wondering if anyone has dealt with these codes and knows how to fix them. I can fix just about anything on a vehicle, minus a transmission. If anyone can give me some guidance on what to do it would be greatly appreciated.

Just search on the net and you should come across a site that has a list of most of the common trouble codes that GM's have and then it tells you what the code is telling you. For example if it is a knock sensor low voltage code then you should be looking into getting a new knock sensor and possibly the wiring leading to it including the terminals. Cool?

I know what the codes are: P0410 is Secondary Air Injection System Malfunction and the second code P1416 is Manufacturer Contrl Auxiliary Emissions Controls. My truck is a 2000 Silverado with a 5.3L V8. The problem I am having is finding out how to fix or test what parts of these problems are wrong.
