Default Engine Swap

I am having to get rid of my 1994 silverado due to rusting concerns, my question is, would I be able to use the 5.7 from my 94 and put the heads and intake from my 98 5.7 on it and make it work? My 94 runs great and has about 50k less miles on it. I was going to store the 94 5.7 in case I need it in the future for my 98. Thanks for any info in advance.

Thank you, I had also posted a question about a year ago about a miss the 98 had while pulling small hills. I then had a heart attack and never got back to anyone. the problem was with the heads, chevy said there were some vortex heads that had a problem, did the heads and everything runs super again.

If you use the 94 engine in your 98, remember that you will have take the crank sensor from the 98 and put it on the 94 engine. No big deal as it swaps over easily.
