Default A few add on/mod questions

Whats up guys? I've got a few questions and was wandering if i could get an answer or two. First of all I am thinking about getting a leveling kit for my silverado 1500 4x4, is this a good idea, if so is a ready lift kit a good choice. 2nd, i do have some little pipes on my truck that aren't too loud, how would it sound if the muffler was cut off, would strait pipes sound better? Lastley, what are some good brush guard brands that look good but are realatively cheap?
Thanks alot.

If you just want to level it than you dont have to buy a leveling kit for it. You can just tighten the tortion bars underyour truck to raise the front end.

I have said this before and I will again, don't crank the torsion bars. It will ride like **** and wear out bearings, steering parts ect. very fast. just get the new torion keys and do it right or you will not be happy. New keys are $200, or you can get them on ebay for $60.

if you're looking for a cheap way to get a loud, good sound, run straight pipes after the cats... if you cut it all out it doesn't sound that good unless you get massive tips, which get expensive (4" tips are about 80 bucks for chrome)... personally im partial to no cats with a muffler (flow, ravin, etc)

Yeah I am running the zr1 tips on mine but I dont think it would sound quite as good without them.
