Default Flowmaster question

I have a 2011 GMC Sierra, V8 5.3L. I'm thinking about getting flowmasters. What I want is a low, deep sound. However, what I don't want is the really loud noise. I don't want to hear it, or not that much, when I'm in the truck with the windows up. Is flowmasters what I want? If so what kind of flowmasters would you suggest? Also, I've heard that the price has gone way up on flowmasters, anyone have an idea on a price with install? Thanks.

Unless Flowmaster changed it up, the 40 series is the louder 0of tthem. I ran them on my Jeep Cherokee because it is possible the strongest muffler out there. Very heavy duty and sounds great, even on an I-6! I do my on installs so I can't help you on install price but I will say shop around. I found a huge price gap of at least 40 bucks from site to site when I looked around.

If you want yours louder, get the Cherry Bomb Xtreme single chamber muffler. Its probably one of the loudest mufflers, I had one on my 5.3 and sounded dam good. It pretty much sounds like straight pipes but without the rasp.

Magnaflow is gonna be the better choice, IMHO. While on cruise or idling it will seem a little quiet, but sounds good at WOT. You will notice more torque and throttle response.

I have same truck as you and yesterday, i installed a MBRP Installer system.
sounds low, deep and doesn't belch when you get on it. Small performance increase, but that's not what I did it for.
Took me 1 hour to install... ALONE!
I really like MBRP. They are well made, simple to install and this one was cheap as well.

Here's a link:
