Default Fuel system issue orrr???

Alright, this past Wednesday, my truck died. I pulled out of my neighborhood, made it about half a mile and it lost power and died. Would not fire back up. It would crank, but would not turn over. Prior to this, I had noticed a slight "stutter" at acceleration, usually after stopping, but I paid it no mind because it has nearly always done that. Got it back home, thankfully my pops lives and works near me, and tried to start again with no luck. Went out on Friday and it would fire up, but only very briefly, as in...two or three seconds at a time MAX. It did that five times and then refused to start again. Today, I braced myself for the possibility of replacing an overpriced fuel pump, but I went out and turned the key and it cranked right up. No stutter, no hesitation outside of what I'd expect from a vehicle that has sat for a few few hot and humid rainy days, and it ran for about five minutes.

Has anyone ever experienced something like this? It's a first on me.

Truck is a 2006 Silveraod 1500 WT 4.3L V-6 Ext. Cab 2WD Auto.

I will post most recent repairs as I can, but I have venison on the grill atm.

Default Update

Alright, I am thinking I probably have some junk in the fuel tank. When I take off too fast or take a turn too quickly, the truck sputters a little bit and loses power. Anything else I should explore before dropping/draining the tank?

Fuel filter? I think I would try it before dropping the tank. Might try checking fuel pressure also. Good luck.

Default Maf?

Ok...it finally threw a code and says it's the MAF. I'm gonna try to clean it and see what happens.
