Default Gas guage

My gas guage will work some of the time, but when i fill my tank up, it will go to empty and stay there for awhile. Then the needle will jump all around, tell me how much gas i have for a minute, then the needle will skip all around. I think its just a short, but im not sure.

GM gas gauges suck. We had a 99 or so Jimmy that did that, then it simply stopped working. Just replace it.

Is it the gage or is it the sending unit from the fuel pump that goes bad?

its usually the sending unit, they are peices, and get a good one when you replace it so you dont have another problem
