Good morning everyone, I installed a used gauge cluster in my 2000 Silverado. Does anyone know how to change the milage to what I already had on my truck?? Thanks

 

If your odometer is digital, you can't. It must be sent to a repair facility to be programmed.

 

I've had my 2004 instrument cluster replaced twice and both times it had the correct odometer reading when I got it back. I assumed the dealer did it. After the 2nd time I noticed the business odometer was not working so I took it back to the dealer and they programmed it to turn on and work. It was thru the various buttions on the steering wheel. It was not in the operators handbook on how to do it. I would check with a local dealer, ask the service manager. These instrument clusters are a big problem on GM trucks and SUVs, many have been replaced.

 

thanks for the info on the dealer having to program it my brother just baught an 04 duramax with the lly motor and the only thing working is the odometer and the business trip meter very helpful to me thanks
