RE: good idea or bad idea?
I always say no to things like this because personally its irritating when people add things like this because obiously it is not an SS. Even if it is fast why tell people? Save yourself the ridicule.

yeah i got ya....bad idea...yeah i hate it when people brag about their vehicles anyway...i just it would look pretty good, and make a good edition, but nvm. plus my truck isnt 2 wheel drive like the real SS

Two ways to show off the truck, the "sleeper method" and the "**** off the other guy" method (Like the "Yeah It Will Beat a Hemi" sticker!).
Build your truck up and keep it sleek but stock looking. No huge hoods or 3" exhaust tips. Just make it look good.
My Ex's dad had a 88 or 89 Mustang LX with sh*tty hub caps on 14" steel wheels, beige paint, hidden exhaust, trim faded, etc....
But it had a stroked 351 windsor in it pushing 500 hp. The exhaust has a resonator and mufflers on it so only when he mashed the gas would it sound mean. Great sleeper car (those little tires didn't want to hook up, but still).
