Hi. I'm new to the forums. This may have been posted before but my search didn't turn any results and i'm sorry for the long post.I have an 00' sierra with, as the title suggests, the single cab and the long box. It has the 5.3L engine. Recently i've been wanting to have the truck's nosedive taken away and at the same time raise the whole truck since it sits as low as some cars! I took a gander at the rough country 3" lift and it seemed perfect but then I heard so many bad things about it so now i'm skeptic. I was told to go to a 4" inch but I don't want the truck TOO high that it changes the handeling and fuel mileage too much. will a 4 inch make the truck look like it's lifted a lot or will it sit around the same height as say a Z71 4x4??. I'm only going up to 31 inch tires so a leveling kit would be good however I want the whole truck raised... not just the front. Can anyone point me in the direction of either a 3 inch or 4 inch lift kit that is 1.)less than 1000 bucks and 2.) is dependable. I won't nesesarily be going offroad a whole lot with the 2wd however i do some mudding when it rains really good... any help is appreciated thanks

 

Oh and while i'm in here... I wanted to ask what rims look really good on my type or year of truck?? 16 inch rims with 31 inch tires.... My truck is a red/burgundy colour with a chrome strip seperating charcoal or grey on the bottom. Thanks
