I have a 2001 Sierra 4wd ext. cab with a 4.8 and it often takes 3 trys to get the truck to start. Once running, the truck performs flawlessly. Any suggestions??

 

new battery, new spark plugs, fresh oil, new fuel pump

 

I think I may have got it. I added some fuel system cleaner and it seems that its working. First time I have ever noticed improvement with the cleaner. I was also told to clean the fuel pressure regulator with carb cleaner as well. Thanks for the info. I may still pull the plugs to check them out.
