This newb needs help! 2002 Silverado 4.3l V6 Won't start! We've been trying to fix it for a few weeeks now and we are not getting anywhere. It all started when one day I was driving along at about 35 mph and the it started sputtering and shaking like I was in the wrong gear or I let the clutch go too fast (mine is 5spd Manual Tran). When I stepped on the clutch it idled fine. Being on a two lane road and no way to lane to pull over I tried riding it out. When I added my gas it would do the same thing until the engine cut totally off. I pulled over as far as I could in the right lane. Then it hasn't start since. Before I got it towed a BMW SUV side swiped my mirror too. My father is a mechanic been testing various things. He changed the distributor and rotor and speed sensor. Tested the fuel pump and battery. Sprayed it with starting fluid and it still won't start. It cranks, just not starting. And its been in for the distributor recall. No codes of any kind using diagnosis. Any help would be appreciated. The 02 Silverado has only 25,000 miles on it too.[X(]

 

So its not a fuel related issue right?
Is there spark to the plugs?
could be an ignition problem?

 

Might be fuel related. Well my father had it towed to the dealership last week. They called this week and said they need more time to figure it out since they don't know whats wrong.
