I know this seems a silly question but I cannot comfortably remove the plastic engine cover on my 1999 1500 pickup with 5.3L. Once I remove the two bolts the cover is still pinned by the firewall/wiper deck and just will not come up high enough to come off. I am sure I could just bend it and force it but it drags on so many connectors and wires that I don't want to damage something. Is there an actual trick to removing this?

Remove bolts and pull towards front of truck. The end.

 

I used an extention with a swivel. Make sure the bolts are out all the way. Should pull right out.
