I have a diffucult question.
Alright! I have a 1984 C-10 Pickup with a 305 and i could not find any stats on what the truck makes stock. Such as HP, Torque, and so and so.
If anyone knows. It would be greatly appreciated. Cause ive beaten alot of people in my truck and all it has is dumped flows. soo im just curious.
Let ME know. thanks!

A 305 puttin 220 with injection? my 5.7 Vortec came with 220HP stock! I don't think that it is quite that high, the carb quote is probably pretty close. Depending on whether it is two or four barrel. Also if it is Injected it would be TBI which should only yield a bit better than Carb'd.

That article said that the stock 305 carbeurated made about 160hp. God I remember thinking my Dad's Monte Carlo SS was so fast. I could only imagine today that my stock silverado would shomp all over it.

"A new 305-cubic-inch V8 with Electronic Spark Control debuted. The spark control allowed higher compression and power output (160 horsepower) that was equal to or better than the available 350 V8s, with the advantage of better fuel economy."
"1987 saw the debut of throttle-body fuel injection (TBI) for all V6 and V8 engines. As a result, the 5.0-liter (305 c.i.) and 5.7-liter (350 c.i.) V8s were more powerful, kicking out 170 and 210 horsepower, respectively."
Sorry fellas, I mistyped. My brain sent the wrong message to the fingers. I remembered reading that for the 305 injected, but the numbers I remembered were for around 96 instead of around 86.....[:'(]my bad.
I should know about this 305 stuff.....I have a 305 sprint car in the garage, lol!
Hey 07, that MonteSS had more ponies. That was the HO motor with flat-tops. I think they had a smaller combustion chamber, too. The increase in compression put those motors at like 180-190hp.
I have one of them asthe baseline engine assembly in my sprinter.
