I just purchased a 2006 chevy silverado crew cab with the 4.8 engine. I was wonder what brand and type of exhaust I should put. I was thinking about Borla and Corsa, but I don't know how good they sound. I don't want something too loud that makes the truck nasty. I want a clean loud tone. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your help.

 

I was looking into this too....the 2006 Silverados have stainless steel exhaust already, so dont downgrade by going with aluminized exhaust. I think magnaflow and borla are the best from what I've heard. Im still shopping though, let me know if you find something...

 

I agree Borla is the way to go. Borla has low tone with a distinctable grunt when you mash the pedal. Those other brands out there sound like a 4banger with the muffler cut off.!!!!!!

 

I had a 2000 4.8 and put a 3" custom exhaust with the SUV flowmaster and it worked great. (cats back) Bought at the local muffler shop.[sm=gears.gif]
