RE: I Need Some Info/Help Please
You truck is "throttle body injected" (TBI) not carborated. It is basically a "electric carborator" as it has injectors instead of carb jets.
Cheyenne, Silverado, Sierra are all the same except for the front clips and some emblems and options like trim and interior. Nothing more than that.
Best bet for that truck is swapping out the 6 banger for a 350. Keep the manual (5spd) because it will be much quicker and easier to swap motors. The motor will bolt right up to the transmission you have. Use a TBI 350 and you won't have to do much to make it work in your truck. Only thing you will have to do is have someone make a computer chip for the conversion. Go to TBIchips.com for this, they are cheap and work perfectly (get a performance chip and you can squeeze another 15-20 hp out of the 350).
I would get a 350, put centerbolt vortec heads on it and get the TBI chip for starters and you'll have a good running truck to play with and modify.
