Ideas?
also, there may be another reason why you cannot hear the exhaust so well. i have a close friend who just purchased a flowmaster system for his ford.... he complained and complained about that thing for weeks. he said that he could barely hear it!.. so finally one day i had the chance to ride behind him going to a concert and that thing was F***ing loud! let me tell you.
there is quite a big difference in a truck that has DOR (duel out rear) exhausts compared to one with Duel out side (DOS)... you should check it out! get someone to confirm that the thing is quite. a second opinion comes in handy, because the sound is so baffled returning to the cab of the truck from a DOR compared to a DOS

I never thought about that, I'll get one of my roomates to check it out when they get home. Thanks for the advice! Anybody have comments/input on my previous post about the Dynomax true dual system? How hard are they to install yourself? Thanks again!
My dad's 78' Sierra 454 fully-modded race truck has dual Dynomax mufflers and it sounds great. But its a big block, so why wouldnt it.
My friend has a 1995 Tahoe Z71, 350 all stock with a Dynomax with duals. It sounds good, low, deep and mellow. About like my Magnaflow.
If I were going for a more mellow sound, MAGNAFLOW all the way, but Im not satisfied, i want mine louder. Therefore, a FM 44 will be on my truck soon.
I think that your current flowmaster is louder than a Dynomax would be. JMO.

Depending on income tax return, any good ideas/ upgrades for my truck? Also, how can I make my truck louder? The local muffler shop said changing the muffler would not change the sound, is that so? Thank You

ROFL, just kidding ya man. I'd go with a good Flowmaster muffler, K&N air filter, and a Jet chip just for starters.
