Default Installing a ram air kit soon!

I just got a ram air kit from vararam and will install it as soon as I can. I will let you all know how much of a difference it makes and post pictures afterwards. A guy gave me a good deal on it way cheaper than posted online.

I finally got time to install it yesterday. It wasn't very hard at all, it took about an hour for me to take off the k&n setup and install this one. There are alot more clamps to double check on tightness. The hardest part was getting the main box with the mass air flow sensor to hook up with the throttle body. It wasn't that bad but since I have a throttle body spacer it gave me less room to work with but it still worked. Start up I noticed a change in the sound and the motor didn't run as high of rpms as it used to with a cold start. Accelerating doesn't take as much throttle to get going. At WOT it was incredible I won't lie with the K&N I did notice more of a throttle response but debated whether or not I felt more power. With this I did notice for sure there is more thrust and it ran about 500 more rpms before shifting into second gear. I haven't driven around enough to see any improvement/less improvement in mpg but I will be making a road trip in a couple weeks and I'll let you know how it goes. In the past I've gotten about 22 mpg on the road. The best I ever got was 25.7 (amazing! I hope to beat that though)

Who did you order it through? Keep us informed on the other info: MPG, etc... Sounds good so far.

There is a Rhino Lining store here that also sells truck accesories. And since the economy is hurting them too they gave me an incentive price to get me to shop there more. Plus the guys there don't give me bs info about products and tell me how it is straight up. So far it seems good on gas but I do alot of stop and go driving in the city. When I go on my trip I will let you know how much better/worse it gets.
