Default IT'S ALIIIIVE!

I got my Camaro running fine and it wasn't even a transmission problem! The tranny still needs to be rebuilt but it's driving fine again. I'm ashamed to say the problem that it had was inflicted by me, and was fixed 20 seconds after the hood was popped with a flat head screwdriver.......... I'm too embarrassed to come right out and say what the problem was but needless to say, MAFs suck! Argon you can kick me in the butt now.

Congratulations on getting the camaro going again! I loved my camaro and I still miss it. I had alot of good times with skanky chicks in that thing. lol. There is no doubt I will end up buying the 09 Camaro with 400HP after it comes out. I drool over it on the net all the time. There is really nothing quite like a badass Camaro!

let me take a guess as to what the problem was....you didnt put the mafs plug back in all the way?

Where did you hear that from? because there are alot of rumors out but GM has only released small bits of info. I have heard alot of different things from people but most of them are not true. All i know is my 1998 Z28 was F-ing FAST, even factory. I had that car up to 160mph running from the cops one night. I had 3 of my buddies in the car with me and the next day I had to clean the **** stains out of their seats. lol. There is no doubt the new Camaros will be even faster (180mph predicted) and **** magnets as well. I cant wait for the convertible

I hear you tho... '68s are sweet. after all thats where the real muscle started.

Well, I'm not the kind of person to go out looking for slutty women but I have gotten plenty of smiles from hot girls riding around in it. It's definitely a chick magnet.

And I don't care what you think about the 5th gen, that thing is so awesome, it makes my mouth water. Especially watching it turn into Bumblebee! And I bet it would walk all over most 1st gen Camaros, especially with some light work and a tune.

Hey man- The ***** look for me, OK. LOL. i dont know y, but slutty chicks and fatties just love me!
Bumblebee was AWESOME! Transformers has got to be one of the most amazing movies ever made. When I saw that yellow 09 Camaro, I peed just a little bit- right there in the theater!

I love every gen Camaro. Nothing can compare to raw, American made, rear wheel drive, tire smokin', highway speedin' POWER! lol

I had two 86 camero's in high school, one 2.8l and one z-28 with the 305 carb'd. I was never dissapointed with that F body. I wishI would have kept the first on only for the fuel milage though! That's when gas went up to over 2.00 a gal. I traded it straight accross for a k-5 blazer.

Well now it's having another problem. I cranked her up last night to take her around the block and noticed it was idleing too high, like 1000rpm. I sat there for a minute and let her run cause I know when it's cold it sometimes just idles high and noticed the idle kept creaping up. Went to about 1200rpm, then went on up to 1500rpm and stayed there for a few minutes until I got sick of listening to it and turned it off. I checked all the obvious stuff on top that I could see easily but nothing obvious anymore. I went ahead with my original plan. I tore the throttle body off and I'm gonna take the IAC valve to work and have one of my co-workers help me test the motor. My chilton's says you can connect connectors a-b and c-d and if it is reading other than between 40-80 ohms, to replace it. I alsoscrubbed the throttle body down with some throttle body cleaner, a rag, and about 30 Q-tips, LOL! That thing was REALLY REALLY dirty. I still can't get all the crap off, I scraped most of it off but there is some that just won't come off unless your spraying the cleaner at it non-stop....[:@] I got the important parts shiny clean though so it's all good. I'll let ya'll know what happens with the iac valve motor. I'm also gonna wait to put it back together until I can buy a new air intake boot. Mine is split in 3 places where it meets the throttle body and I'm sure that can't be helping the idle (have it electrical taped but that is too redneck).
