Im eighteen and just bought a 2006 gmc sierra 1500 crew cab. I already bought edelbrock headers for it but i was wondering what other things i could add on for performance????

I currently have the headers a magnaflow exhaust and a piece of crap cold air intake....

I got a 05 Sierra 5.3. Put the k and n 57 series. True duals for exhaust. Magnaflow, flowmaster. Your choice. I went with flowmaster myself. And a chip. I went with the diablo predator. Big noticed in torque. And premium fuel is a must. And if that's not enough. Swap out for the 6.0.

Thanks brotha. Appreciate the reply.

I plan on getting an in dash "programmer". I have looked at the bully dog triple dog gt gas model. Is this worth it or no?

Other things i plan on getting or looked at have been..
-throttle body spacer
-new mass air flow sensor
-e3 plugs and some new plug wires

Are these things worth it or am i wasting my time?
I have read up on it and have had different answers.

Replys would be great. Thanks guys.

Everyone has there favourite brand. Go with what you want. They should all give almost the same result. I think anyways. Bully dog is a good brand for sure. As for the others I'm still looking into them myself. Not aggresively though. If you find something out about them and they are worth it at all. Let me know would ya? Call a few performace shops or an online site and see what they have to say about different programmers.

Come on stop trying to make this hard. When you say you want performance ask yourself just what do you mean? You want to go 150 mph or you just want you truck to get up and go like a Bat out of Hell?

Most of these truck came with 3.42 gears these are designed to give you better mileage.

If you want your truck to get up and go put in 3.73
or do you want to step out and say Holly Crap? Get 4.10's

I have 3.73 in my 05, 5.3L and it gets up and goes, but I know that if someone pulls up with 4.10, I will be the one saying Holly Crap.

Enough Said

Just to let you know about those E3 plugs, i put them in my 2006 5.3 and the engine didn't like them at all. it would run great driving down the road but as soon as the truck was stopped and just idling it would shutter and the RPMs would drop a little. this would happen a few times every minute until i started moving again. after i changed the plugs back to AC Delco Iridiums everything was fine again.

Thats just my experience with the E3 plugs.
