yes the instructions do suck really bad. i know that yours probably came with the spacers right. i didnt have to use them on mine. but with any thing less than 03 i think you have to. the installation you described sounds right. i think you did everything correct from your description. the idle thing will most likely go away. when i installed mine about 2 months ago, i did the same thing, and eventually went away. also your check engine light might come on. after a few starts it will go away after adjusting~!

 

my instructions said "install the throttle cable spacers." that's all they said about it. that took me like an hour to figure out what the hell to do with them...

 

i know. i was like WTF!!! i thought that i had to use them on mine. luckily i had a friend that did it on his 02 or i would have been up S**T creek! lol

i just ordered mine from JC whitney 51.99 plus free shipping, but it wont be here unitl April the 8th. i got the torque curve. i had a Jet TBS for about 2 hours and sent it back it was to loud and the whistle was irritating.

i had a helix power tower TBS on my tbi 350 blazer and didnt here any whistle. but 2 different motors there

i hope that the torque curve by Trans Dapt isnt to loud and will help give me alitte better mpg. ive heard on the 5.3 you dont get much mpg out of them but a little better throttle response.

 

i have the torque curve and i can't hear any whistle...i noticed about 1-2 mpg but its mostly a speed thing

 

yeah the throttle response changes big time. it sounds friggen awesome especially coming from a guy that has been driving a gutless 3.0 all his life. the MPG gains are pretty good actually. b4 i got the CAI and the TBS i was at about 15-16 MPG.... now im up to 21 MPG consistantly! so im pretty happy with it for sure!

the torque curve by transdapt is highly reigned as the best TBS on the market, so im sure that you wont be dissapointed!

 

I got the torque curve to from summit. Guys, Now my check engine light came on today.....well it go away? I had it checked both O2 banks were calling too lean. So when I got home I made sure all intake screws were tight and cleaned all the connecters. Hopefully it will adjust because it idles kinda bad now too so. Anybody have any suggestions
