Im not sure if this was posted or not, I did do a search.

Anyways, I have a '98 Chev Z71 and when I bought it it did not come with the FOB, but on the bill of sale from the dealer (from the original owner) it says the truck has keyless entry, so I managed to obtain a new FOB and am wondering how I re-program it. I could take it to the dealer, but thats money I dont want to spend. Any help would be appreciated.

Make SURE the fob is FOR YOUR TRUCK...just cuz it looks like it,it won't work...

anyway..

jumper terminals 4 and 8 in your aldl..it'll cycle the locks....then hold down your lock and unlock buttons on the fob together...they'll cycle again to confirm the action
