hey all
I just wanted to what reasons by knock censor would turn on my check engine light like what type of vibrations and then why my check engine light would just turn off all of a sudden.

 

These things are very sensitive. My friend broke off an exhaust manifold bolt and the manifold was vibrating against thehead and set it off.

 

Most likely,the REAR knock sensor is corroded...is this a gen 3engine? (5.3,etc)?

 

no its a 2003 chevy silverado 4*4 1500 4.8 liter

 

That is a gen 3 engine.
